Mellomar has been proudly serving Calvert County residents since July of 1994, when the park was just a driving range with a little metal box that had the prices and the words "Honor Code" written on it. In spring of 1999, Doc and Peggy, after noticing the parks growth in popularity, decided it was time to turn another one of the cornfields into what is now the Par 3 course. Last but not least, in 2002, they finally cleared the rest of the field and added the Regulation 9 course. Since then Mellomar has had ups and downs, as does any small business, but it still runs strong.
Our courses and prices are set up to accommodate both your busy schedule and your bank account. No tee time is required, just come and play and take a load off without having to worry about overcrowding and all the hustle and bustle you'd find at other courses. Our staff is very customer friendly and is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure you have a good time. Our course, and the atmosphere we've created over the years, is also very family friendly. Children of all ages are encouraged to come out and start learning. We work in partnership with the Calvert Golf Academy to offer one-on-one lessons with a golf teaching professional. Mellomar is obscurely located four miles west of Route 4, on 262 Lower Marlboro Road. Our backwoods location gives you a nice get away from the "city life" and allows you to enjoy nature while letting off steam on our Regulation 9 course, Par 3 course, or the driving range.
We thank you for all the support over the years and we look forward to serving ya'll for years to come.
Doc and Peggy Grace
